2023 Joining Forces Lobby Day
In April 2023 Joining Forces hosted our first Lobby Day, where we brought a group of 22 advocates to our state capitol, speaking to legislators about personal experiences with homelessness, the importance of funding homeless services, and encouraging all municipalities to pursue affordable housing. Our efforts lead to the passage of SB 1476, revising the Affordable Housing Planning and Appeals Act, and helped secure a $60.1 million increase in homeless services funding through the FY24 State Budget.
