How to Become a Community Partner
Community Partners are organizations that have a stake in the affordability of our community and participate in Joining Forces for Affordable Housing. Here is what we ask of Community Partners:
Community Partners are organizations that have a stake in the affordability of our community and participate in Joining Forces for Affordable Housing. Here is what we ask of Community Partners:
- Allow Joining Forces to list you on our website and in our materials as a partner, thereby acknowledging your organization’s shared support for the work of Joining Forces to increase affordability
- Have an initial meeting with a Joining Forces team member to strategize on what level of advocacy makes sense for your organization
- Determine whether and how your organization can share information about affordable housing advocacy with its own constituents (clients, customers, congregations, staff, members, etc.)
- Designate a point of contact who will receive Joining Forces information, invitations to events and workshops, and calls to action and move them forward in your organization as appropriate

Community Partners will benefit from engagement with Joining Forces in the following ways:
In addition, you will be able to provide new and interesting opportunities for people within your sphere of influence (friends, neighbors, clients/program participants, congregation members, volunteers, & donors) to volunteer as advocates for affordable housing.
Community Partners will benefit from engagement with Joining Forces in the following ways:
- Receive invitations to Joining Forces member meetings, workshops, and events
- Be included on Calls to Action
- Receive support from member organizations on advocacy issues pertinent to your constituents
- Have periodic opportunities to share your agency's messages and vision across our network of organizations
