Housing is a human right. We envision diverse, inclusive communities with sustainable housing for all.
Our Vision for Our State Is That:

The State of Illinois will prioritize funding for affordable housing and require every county and municipality to have comprehensive plans to create and sustain affordability. Those plans will:
- Be equitable within and across communities.
- Be integrated with economic development, human services, public safety, and other municipal functions.
- Include solutions that will meet the challenges of the future related to climate change, an aging population, scarcity of resources, and sustainability.
- Include goals and measures that municipalities are held accountable for achieving.
Our Vision for Our Region Is That:
North Suburban Cook County will provide a range of sustainable housing choices for people of all economic levels, races, ages, and abilities, and the people who work and have roots here can afford to live here too. Choices will include housing in many price ranges and forms that is functional and safe, provides access to necessities and amenities, and is close to public transportation.
Our Vision for Local Municipalities Is That:
Our local governments will view housing as a necessity to which every resident has a right, and will actively seek to increase affordability and remove exclusionary barriers to housing for all.
Our Vision for Residents Is That:
Residents in all neighborhoods will understand the need for and embrace and support the changes that increased affordability and inclusion will require.
