The Evanston Planning and Development (P&D) Sub-Committee is meeting this Wednesday, February 23rd from 5-7PM. The Agenda for the meeting is to discuss current best practices for rental property inventory and regulation. Staff was asked to bring back information on the best practices for maintaining a rental inventory, the unintended consequences of rental licensing, how other rental licensing programs revoke licenses, the suitability of fees and fines, and information on Illinois receivership laws. These topics will be presented to sub-committee members to determine their next steps.
